Software house / The area

Research at altitude, vegetables on the plain

The province of L’Aquila brings together distant worlds: the Gran Sasso National Laboratories and the Gran Sasso Science Institute, a university with engineering and computer science, pharmaceutical and electronics companies. The Fucino plain grows IGP carrots and potatoes and hosts a space centre; Navelli harvests DOP saffron, and Sulmona makes sugared almonds.

A Fucino vegetable grower must handle harvesting, processing and deliveries to supermarket chains on tight timescales; a pharmaceutical company lives on documentation and checks; a tech startup needs a solid platform to grow on. Custom software meets different needs with the same method: starting from the real process.

It is a wide, mountainous province, with companies spread across the L’Aquila basin, the Marsica and the Peligna valley. Many have offices, warehouses or fields far apart: they need tools accessible anywhere, from a smartphone too, that give everyone the same data without waiting for the end of the day.

Software house / Services

Custom software services

From idea to release, built around the way your company works.

  • Process analysis

We follow a vegetable order from a Fucino field to the lorry, or a batch from production to quality release, and show you which steps slow things down and where information gets lost.

  • Custom software

Management systems for growers covering harvest, processing and retail orders, document tools for quality, platforms for research spin-offs, integrated with the systems already in place.

  • UX/UI Design

Interfaces for people in the field, on the packing line or in the lab, quick to use even with gloves on, tested with users on prototypes before development.

  • MVP

For a new idea, such as a digital service born from university research or online sales of saffron and sugared almonds, we build a first version to put in front of users in a few weeks.

Software house / Results

Digital that delivers concrete results in L’Aquila

Webion works on shared metrics to turn investments into tangible returns.

  • Measurable goals

Before writing code we set the indicators with you: hours saved, errors avoided, response times.

  • Pragmatic innovation

We pick the technology that solves the problem, not the fashionable one, and bring it to production step by step.

  • Frictionless delivery

Short, frequent releases, tried by the people who will use them, so the software enters the company without stopping work.

Software house / Method

Hypotheses, measures, learning

Every release comes with metrics and retrospectives to fine-tune the roadmap.

  1. Analysis

We map processes with the people who live them every day and measure where time is lost.

  2. Design

We draw flows and screens and test them with users before writing code.

  3. Development

We release in short cycles: every cycle ends with a working version to try.

  4. Evolution

After release we maintain the software and grow it with the company.

Software house / How we work

From Modena, across the Apennines

We run development from our base in Modena, with remote updates and frequent releases to review together. We come to the province of L’Aquila for process analysis, for testing with the people who will use the software and for go-live. After release we take care of the software: maintenance, adjustments and new features when processes, customers or rules change.

  • Controlled access

Every user sees and changes only what they are responsible for, and every action is logged.

  • Reviewed code

Code reviews, automated tests and up-to-date dependencies at every release.

  • Protected data

Backups, encryption and GDPR-compliant data handling, with clear rules on where data lives.
