From block to slab
The province of Massa-Carrara is bound to the marble of the Apuan Alps: quarries, sawmills, processing workshops, trade in blocks and slabs, with the port of Marina di Carrara for shipping. Alongside stone are engineering, boatbuilding, coastal tourism and Lunigiana products, from honey to DOP chestnut flour.
In marble every block is unique: origin, grade, dimensions, slabs cut from it, processing, destination. Custom software follows that story from quarry to customer, links the yard to slab photos and documents, and speeds up quotes and shipments.
