We write software for Prato’s textile and fashion companies, where a fabric passes through many firms before reaching the customer and every movement of yarn, piece or garment has to be tracked without wasting time.

Software house / The area

A fabric made by many hands

The Prato textile district is known for woollen fabrics, carded wool and the recovery of textile fibres, a circular economy tradition that predates the term by a long way. Alongside it are fast fashion, textile machinery and products such as Mortadella di Prato IGP, cantucci biscuits and Carmignano wine.

Here production is split among many specialised firms: some spin, some weave, some dye, some finish. Custom software follows lots and pieces from one subcontractor to the next, calculates the time and cost of each phase and gives customers precise answers on samples and deliveries.

Fashion clients increasingly ask where fibres come from and how much is recycled. For a Prato company, collecting this data along the chain in an orderly way becomes a commercial advantage, as well as an answer to new requests and rules.

Software house / Services

Custom software services

From idea to release, built around the way your company works.

  • Process analysis

We follow an order from yarn to finished piece, through outside processing, and show you where waiting, phone calls and retyped data pile up.

  • Custom software

Management software for wool mills and weavers with lots and phases, portals to exchange orders with subcontractors and dye houses, traceability tools for recycled fibres, connected to the ERP you already use.

  • UX/UI Design

Screens designed for the shop floor, the piece warehouse or the sampling office, simple and fast, tested with the people who will use them before development.

  • MVP

A new service, such as a digital fabric catalogue for customers or a wholesale platform for fast fashion, starts from an essential first version to test on the market.

Software house / Results

Digital that delivers concrete results in Prato

Webion works on shared metrics to turn investments into tangible returns.

  • Measurable goals

Before writing code we set the indicators with you: hours saved, errors avoided, response times.

  • Pragmatic innovation

We pick the technology that solves the problem, not the fashionable one, and bring it to production step by step.

  • Frictionless delivery

Short, frequent releases, tried by the people who will use them, so the software enters the company without stopping work.

Software house / Method

Hypotheses, measures, learning

Every release comes with metrics and retrospectives to fine-tune the roadmap.

  1. Analysis

We map processes with the people who live them every day and measure where time is lost.

  2. Design

We draw flows and screens and test them with users before writing code.

  3. Development

We release in short cycles: every cycle ends with a working version to try.

  4. Evolution

After release we maintain the software and grow it with the company.

Software house / How we work

From Modena to Prato, at the pace of the collections

We work from Modena with frequent releases and short remote meetings, following the rhythm of your collections. We come to Prato for analysis in the departments, tests with operators and go-live, avoiding sampling periods. After go-live we keep looking after the software, with maintenance and agreed new features.
