A land between two rivers
The Polesine lies between the Adige and the Po, all the way to the Delta and its park. It is farming country, with cereals, vegetables, Po Delta rice and Polesine white garlic, and water country, where fishing cooperatives farm mussels and clams in the Sacca di Scardovari.
In supply chains like these, software is above all about knowing what comes in and what goes out: member deliveries, batches, lab tests, certifications, sales to wholesalers and supermarkets. When everything runs on paper and spreadsheets, rebuilding the history of a batch takes hours nobody has in the middle of the season.
Many local businesses are cooperatives or consortia: many members, precise allocation rules, data arriving from boats, fields and different warehouses. Software designed for this structure, with a member portal and transparent accounts, takes work off the office and arguments off the end of the year.
